You’ve spent the last several hours (or weeks) adding wax seals to your stationery, snail mail or invitations and are now ready to send them out!
But, how do you send wax seals safely through the mail!?
One of the most common questions we receive every day is how you can safely send your wax seals through the mail. As all of the sealing wax that we carry is made using HeoFlex® Technology by WaxSeals.com, it is designed to be flexible and not crack or break when sent through the mail.
That being said, there are some important things to consider when sending wax seals through the mail, so here are our Top 3 Tips to ensure that your seals arrive safely:
1. Hand Cancel
We highly recommend hand-cancelling whenever you are sending wax seals through the mail.
This is a brilliant way to protect your wax seals from tearing due to modern mail sorting machines.
Hand cancelling services are offered by many Post Offices, but we recommend always calling ahead to make sure!

2. Outer Envelope
Using an outer envelope is a perfect solution if you’re working with delicate details such as ribbon, string, and twine with your wax seals!
We would highly recommend using an outer envelope to protect your seals if you would prefer to not hand-cancel your invitations, letters, or stationery. We also recommend this solution if you are using either our Craft or Resealable Self Adhesive Wax Seals.

3. Stamp + Send
For those of you who are sending your hand-stamped wax seals through the mail, this is usually quite a safe option because your wax seal will be able to bond tightly with your paper when stamped.
That being said, modern mail sorting machines can still damage your seals, so we always recommend using one of the first two options as well if you want to be extra safe!
